BrainDojo Update v1.6.0

We’re excited to introduce BrainDojo v1.6.0. This release is all about fitting the app to you: an initial setup, coaching from the master, and 8 new training games.

What’s New in Version 1.6.0

Initial Setup

The first time you open the app, we now ask four questions.

  1. What you struggle with most (trouble focusing / forgetfulness / difficulty planning / careless mistakes / reading and writing — choose as many as apply)
  2. How much time you have per day (3 minutes / 5 minutes / 10 minutes or more)
  3. When you train (morning / midday / evening)
  4. Your age group

Your answers shape the app from then on.

  • What you struggle with changes how Today’s Training is chosen
  • Your available time sets how many exercises you get each day (2 for 3 minutes, 3 for 5 minutes, 5 for 10 minutes or more)
  • Your preferred time of day sets the default reminder time

You can redo the setup any time from Settings.

The Master Has Started Coaching

At the top of the home screen you’ll now find the Daruma master, the same character as the app icon.

The master looks at how far you’ve gotten with today’s training, your streak, and what you told us you struggle with, then says something suited to the moment. Tap to hear something else.

8 New Training Games

We’ve added 8 new training games.

  1. Speed Copying — Activate your brain by copying sentences by hand at high speed for a few minutes. Available in Japanese, English, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
  2. Instant Composition — Tap the words in the right order to build the sentence.
  3. Weight Compare — Read the scales and find the heaviest weight.
  4. Position Memory — Memorize the numbers in the grid, then recall the hidden one.
  5. Triple Task — Drive to dodge obstacles, solve math, and remember what you passed.
  6. Count Cube Math — Count the cubes in each shape, then write the difference.
  7. Speed Calc Long — A 100-question marathon of fast mental math.
  8. N-Back Light — Remember which cell lit up, then tap the one from N steps ago.

Other Improvements

We’ve added a history section to the home screen and fixed several bugs.
