What is Kinder Paint?
Kinder Paint is a drawing app for children ages 2-6 on iPhone and iPad, first created by the developer for their own 3-year-old. Built around three pillars (safety, comfort, and expressive power) and developed under the guidance of an AMI Montessori teacher, it gives young artists a canvas they can truly use by themselves.
Kids choose from five canvases (Drawing, Paint, Sketch, Manga, and Dot) and six pens, including crayon, pencil, and watercolor pen. Paint Academy tracing lessons offer gentle guidance, while the simple interface, one-tap fill, and shape tools keep creating free of frustration. There are no ads and no accounts, and drawing works offline.
The Drawing, Paint, and Sketch canvases are free, and the free plan keeps up to three canvases. The optional Kinder Paint Pro subscription adds the Manga and Dot canvases, the full Paint Academy, and unlimited canvases.

No ads, no accounts, and drawing works offline, with quick save to the camera roll so families can keep every masterpiece. The settings tab and the purchase screen open only after a multiplication question for parents.

Kinder Paint Pro is ¥600 a month or ¥3,000 a year on the Japanese App Store.
