What is StudyX Japanese Letters Table?
StudyX Japanese Letters Table is a simple, focused app for learning the Japanese kana, hiragana and katakana, together with romaji. Tap any letter on the chart to hear its sound, so you learn the sound along with the shape. It's a natural fit for children learning their first letters and for anyone starting to learn Japanese.
On iPad, a blank writing space sits below the chart. Look at the letter on the chart and write it with Apple Pencil or your finger. There is no model letter to trace, and iPhone shows the chart only. A listening game called ใใใจใใใใณ plays a word one kana at a time and asks you to tap the kana you heard in order. The app is a paid download with no in-app purchases, no ads, and no data collection, so it is safe to hand to a child.

Four Display Modes
Switch the chart between hiragana, katakana, uppercase romaji, and lowercase romaji. Romaji follows the Hepburn style.
Audio for Every Letter
Tap a letter to hear its sound. In katakana and romaji modes you hear the same sound as the matching hiragana.
A Writing Space on iPad
On iPad, write freely with Apple Pencil or your finger in the blank space below the chart, and clear it with one button. The app does not show a model to trace or check what you wrote.

The app plays a word one kana at a time. Tap the kana you heard in order. A wrong tap replays the word from the first letter, and you can replay or skip at any time.
