What is Kinder Browser?

Kinder Browser is a kid-safe web browser built on a simple idea: your child starts from the sites you have chosen and cannot follow links away to other sites. Adult and gambling sites on a built-in blocklist are blocked by default, a simple ad-blocking rule removes many ads, and a parental gate keeps the settings out of little hands. It was born when we couldn't find the ideal browser for our own daughter's educational web surfing, and it's designed to give children a safe, distraction-free internet experience.

There is no subscription, no tracking, and no data collection. It is a one-time purchase, available for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Because links to other sites are stopped, children are much less likely to wander off to unintended pages, and the screen stays on while they learn. It works well with Scratch and other educational web tools.

Start From Sites You Choose

Set a home page and bookmarks, and your child browses from there. Links within the same site open normally. A tap on a link to a different site is stopped, unless that site is bookmarked or on your Whitelisted Pages. Pages a site loads on its own, such as redirects, are not checked this way, so it helps to choose the starting sites with care.

Blocklists

A built-in list of adult and gambling domains is blocked by default. You can add your own Blacklisted Pages, and any URL containing what you enter is blocked too.

Fewer Ads, Fewer Distractions

A simple rule blocks ad requests whose URL contains "ads", which removes many site ads but not all of them. The app itself shows no ads.

Parental Gate

The parent page sits behind a parental gate: a multiplication question by default, or a custom PIN you set. You can also ask for the gate before a bookmark opens. The app does not include Screen Time features of its own, but you can use it alongside iOS Screen Time.

Works with Scratch and other educational tools, with an always-on screen, Illustration Mode for drawing on top of a page, and a Blue Light Cut filter. Bookmarks and lists sync through iCloud.
